Announcing The New Client Initiated Backup Feature With Bacula Enterprise Edition 8.6

factory_worker_backup Customers of MSP’s can benefit from Client Initiated Backup
MSP’s often look for new ways to offer their customers a backup tool that is integrated into their services, and accessed by their customers via an easy-to-use GUI. For the actual customers of MSP’s, this means having fast, direct control over backup of their own data, and it’s an added service the MSP may choose to charge for. Bacula Systems is forging ahead with its ever-expanding range of capabilities for MSP’s, managed application businesses, and cloud and infrastructure hosting companies: this weeks’ announcement of Bacula Enterprise Edition 8.6 features, among other things, Client Initiated Backup – which means that new user-model options are now available:

Bacula Director centralized model
Bacula Director and Storage Daemon centralized model
Client Initiated Backup (client centralized model)
